10 Things I Wish Someone Told Me When I Was Younger

I think everything should be collaborative. One of the best pieces of advice I was ever given was from my then manager at Hershey Chocolate. He said, “We have all this knowledge and experience and we should learn to share it as a team.” So that was a huge lesson for me – the notion of collaboration. I never know who I am and I just keep creating. One of my many dreams is to make sure my work lives on after I’m gone. I started my career as a digital marketer and business analyst. I know that’s a pretty geeky description for someone like me, but that’s the job description. Then I worked at Hershey, where I helped drive brand experiences. My focus there was on the digital world and how to communicate with consumers.

What is Wellbeing?

What does that mean in life? That can be interpreted in many ways: – Being financially stable – Having the means to live without stress – Being healthy and fit – Having control over your personal life and the decisions that affect it – Having a fulfilling work – Not feeling alone – Having autonomy – Being able to let go of the past – Being responsible for your own actions – Being able to keep an open mind and not allow others to influence your mind or values – Being a part of something bigger than yourself – Staying curious and keep an open mind – Being mindful of what’s going on around you – Having patience and kindness – Being aware of how much of your life you have actually lived How have I stayed so young? Life is full of contradictions and paradoxes.

How can I improve my wellbeing?

Go to the gym three times a week and use body weight exercises to build muscle. Exercise is very important in improving your mood. It makes you feel better, stimulates your brain and your emotions, so if you do it regularly it will help you overcome your anxieties. Meditate for ten minutes a day. Don’t expect to be able to meditate for the entire time, but try to do it for ten minutes a day to start. You’ll feel calmer and more focused. I started a project called Eye of the Soul, which helps promote mindful meditation and has been very successful. How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
